Patrick J. Dugas, MBA, CPA, CVA has more than 29 years of experience in the areas of accounting, taxation, business valuation and litigation consulting.   Mr. Dugas has valued businesses in a broad range of industries for purposes of estate and gift taxation, partner and shareholder disputes, business interruption, breach of contract, buy/sell agreements, fraud and embezzlement matters.  In addition, Mr. Dugas is called upon regularly to serve as an expert witness in court, having qualified as an expert in more than 100 matters.

Mr. Dugas is actively involved in the practice of tax consulting.  His consulting areas include estate and gift taxation, corporate, individual and fiduciary taxation, representation before the Internal Revenue Service and the Florida Department of Revenue.

Mr. Dugas is actively involved in the development and presentation of continuing professional educational programs. He is a member Training Development Team of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA). As a core instructor in NACVA's national business valuation curriculum, he regularly teaches the courses entitled,  “Being Effective in Expert Testimony” and “Being Effective in Litigation Consulting.” Mr. Dugas has served on the undergraduate faculty of Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.  Mr. Dugas currently presents seminars on “Starting a Small Business” and “Running a Small Business” at Florida Southern College in Lakeland Florida.
